Birmingham Speaks,

Well, I decided to go to Birmingham and find out early if I can play this track like a human.  Won”t know till tomorrow.

But, I do have some Greenism wisdom to deliver. I will give to you the reason that the TPC has never been given the 5th major title. Way back when, Jack Nicklaus recreated the “majors” as what life is all about. Brilliant move on his part, by the way. Anyway, in early ’80. Mr. Deane Beman created TPC Jax and the whole concept of this championship to a final home to play on and the marketing concept of TPC properties. The whole tour had a mini revolution on this idea and some others that were spearheaded by the Bear, King and other stars. It was pretty much stopped http://www.phpaide.com/?langue=fr&id=5 in its tracks by Deane and with that in mind I do believe that the stars who recreated a “major” would not give the event and its location any credit – I believe because of their distain for Beman. Now understand this – I can”t stand the man – he is just not an honest man, kind of ironic that the last two commish had this wonderless quality. But you must give him credit for this creation.  The TPC properties have been a cash bull for the tour. Anyone who has bought into the fact that this should not be a major event is an absolute dorkaronus who is just not looking at the facts. If some went back and looked at all the facts I think they would agree. So says the one legged wisdomalogist.

Just a quick thought – be good. Will keep you posted on the course’s playability factor.

Congrat’s on Connenticut entry (with cart) About time someone (this tournament) on this planet showed some respect for what you are doing, some compassion and common sense!

Ken, I alway wonder how the TPC got rolling, and now I now. I wish you the best today, and as it already as been said, at the end of the day it’s just a number.
I do have one request, next time you give us “the one legged wisdomalogist”, can you tell how the heck to play the 17th hole at Sawgrass? I keep hitting the gator in the water!

  3. Ron Patak says:

I look forward to seeing you in Birmingham. I am involved in a few restaurants and a hotel. My turn to buy you dinner.

Not much to say here except good Luck. Very pleased that you decided to give it a shot. Remember at the end of the day it is only a number, 65,75 whatever….
Accept the number and keep moving forward in the learning curve.
